The phosphates of adenosine (AMP/ADP/ATP) and guanosine (GMP/GDP/GTP) are pivotal molecules involved in signal transduction pathways. Their analytical detection is routinely performed by HPLC since characteristic retention times allow convenient detection even in complex biological samples.
Retention time in HPLC however, is influenced by a number of parameters and it is often desirable to identify analytes by using positive controls as external or internal standards. Therefore, Larova has introduced Nucleotide HPLC Retention Time Standards.

Oct 28, 2011   PUMP UP THE VOLUME: High Yield Buffer and PCR Enhancers

Alongside the essential ingredients of PCR, a variety of PCR Enhancers or Additives has been identified that show strong effects upon yield, specificity and consistency of PCR. Each of these may have a beneficial effect on individual amplifications but it is still largely impossible to predict their effects a priori. Therefore, an individual assay optimization may be essential for cumbersome template-primer sets.

In order to avoid tedious optimizations we developed High Yield Buffer that contains a balanced composition of PCR Enhancers for maximum efficiency.

Mar 29, 2011   Freeze dried PCR Mastermixes – Preloaded and Stable at Room Temperature

Ready-to-Use Lyophilisates are delivered in PCR reaction tube strips and as 96-well plates preloaded with a complete master mix in a dry, room temperature stable format. There is no need for freezing, thawing or pipetting on ice. Simply fill up the vials with template DNA, primer and PCR-grade water and run the PCR in any thermocycler.

May 03, 2011   LAROVA dNTPs: Greater than 99 % purity for more than 2 years at -20 °C

Purity of dNTPs is an important parameter for assessing their suitability for PCR reactions since some contaminants may strongly interfere with PCR. While absence of such contaminants is relatively easy to ensure at the end of the dNTP production process, it may become an issue during dNTP storage.

Jan 25, 2009   Bulk dNTPs: larger lot sizes

While in the past multi-litre orders of dNTP sometimes consisted of more than one lot of a single dNTP, we now offer larger lot sizes of 4 x 1 L, 4 x 5 L, or 4 x 10 L (100 mM solutions). This allows our clients to assess a particular lot only once and then cover their annual demand with this single lot. Oct 01, 2008   Bulk dNTPs: HPLC-purity >99%

As of now all dNTP bulk material is available with HPLC purities >99%. Despite an increasing number of functional tests HPLC analysis of dNTP solutions remains a key parameter for assessing their quality. Many producers of dNTPs claim purities above 99% however, under scrutiny only a very few fulfill this promise. LAROVA has established an HPLC set up involving state of the art technology such as diode array detectors, specialized HPLC columns and buffer/gradient protocols that allow superior resolution and sensitive and reproducible differentiation of the good from the bad. This has led to several improvements in our production processes and allows us to guarantee true HPLC purity of >99% for all bulk material.
